2nd Day
My second day in Dinerland didn't go quit as well as the first. I have the uncommon luck of being trained by Javier (which is good) but Javier also works with his wife Arecelis (which is no Bueno) she's way too critical of me for my second day. Maybe I've assumed too much leeway but it's been over three years since i last waited tables can a Gringo get a little more time?
Some good things happened today as well though. QT has got nothing on these guys as far as language instruction goes. It's not only that I have more time (&reason) to speak to my customers but also that many of my co-workers don't even speak english and i hardly work with more than a couple of other americans at a time. My language obsession did work a little against me today though-I was told mostly by my trainer's wife the menu first, spanish later. No lo ce Porque no puedes practicar mi espanol el todo tiempo, no mi importa efe tiengo ocupada tam bien.

God, how i love other languages and the wonderful sounds that come with them.
I really believe tonight will be better, even though their expectations are most definitely too high. There were times last night when i felt defeated, and wanted to give up, but usually in the end all that really does to me is get me motivated, tonight i hope to be super server.....well i'm gonna try anyways it's a job and i like these guys more than those red-shirt qt mother fuckers.
